I'm Nicholas Grecco, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), NASM-Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) and Senior Fitness Specialist (NASM-SFS). I run one-on-one training, small group private training, and small group classes in Astoria, Queens, New York.

My fitness philosophy is motivated by the belief that it's in the power of each of us to move well, reduce pain, and feel more comfortable in our bodies. I'm especially interested in working with those who are new to exercise or those looking for expertise in training around aches and pains.

My story

Health has always meant something holistic to me, with elements of the physical, emotional, mental, and social. Exercise and training make it possible to live your best life across all those dimensions.

I've studied a variety of training methodologies, ranging from biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and personal training for special populations (becoming an NASM Senior Fitness Specialist) to breathing, posture work, and beyond. I've also developed myself working in a physical therapy clinic where I've had exposure to Doctors of Physical Therapy and their rehabilitation programs.

Early experiences with IT band pain and digestive issues taught me the importance of proper movement and nutrition for well-being. That interest led to a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, but I first found full-time work in the financial industry. I worked at two investment advisory firms through my twenties, in the background always exploring health and fitness. Even though I found success professionally, I grew increasingly depressed in my outlook on the future. I wanted my work to matter to the people around me. Ultimately, I decided to make a change.

Modern life leaves so many of us in a state of illness, chronic pain, or poor health. I want to help.
